Lake Eufaula continues to be muddy with the influx of rain we have had and they are really pulling a lot of current through the system. The water temperatures have really been fluctuating with these major cold fronts that have been coming through. If you pick the right day they are a few fish out there to be caught. Most of our fish have been coming on rattle baits, square billed crankbaits and spinnerbaits fished around anything hard. Wood, rocks, red clay banks and points seem to be the preferred places for them to be. If you’re wanting to do a little something different some fish are also being caught by lipping in the isolated patches of water hyacinths and what we call peanut grass. Some fish are starting to show up in the brush piles but it should be just a little bit later before that gets going good. Book your trip today because the fish are really wanting to move up and it’s probably going to happen as soon as we have another good week of constant warmer temperatures.
