Water temperatures are running in the low 90s. The lake is and has been up about two feet for the last month and a lot of fish are being caught shallow first thing and throughout the day on swim jigs, buzzbaits and frogs. The ledge fishing Eufaula has been tremendous as the lake is as good as I have seen it in the last 20 years. It is definitely a timing deal though but if you’re in the right place at the right time you can really catch the numbers and quality. Most of the fish on the ledges are in the 18 to 22 foot range if they are not generating and will pull up to the 12 to 14 foot range on the lip of them once the current gets to moving. Most of those fish are being caught on Carolina rigs, 10 inch Texas Rig worms, Drop shots and if the right situation is there you can catch them cranking a big crankbait. The numbers have been real good with a lot of good fish mixed in. Book your trip now to get in on some of the ledge fishing before the big schools start breaking up for the Fall. I’m looking forward to spending the day on the water with you.
