The lake Eufaula fishing is off the charts right now and is probably the hottest lake in the Nation. It took almost 19 lbs in a tournament Saturday just to make the top 40 and get a check. The bass have finally settled into their summer locations. The ledge fishing is as good as I have ever seen it. Big crankbaits, Carolina rigs, swimbaits and big Texas rig worms have been doing the trick. Also the Corps of Engineers have let the lake come up 2 foot which is very rare for this time of year and the shallow bite has been extremely good also. Swim jigs,frogs and speed worms have been the ticket up shallow.
