How the fishing can be this good after there have been five major tournaments in a row on the lake over the past five weeks is beyond me. lake Eufaula is running about a month behind and the fish are finally making it out to the river ledges. We have been averaging 20 to 25 bass a day with some good ones mixed in along the way. Carolina Rigs, Drop Shots and big Texas Rigged worms have been doing most of the damage. The bass is generally holding in 20 to 22 foot of water until they cut the current on start generating power. At that point, they move up on the hard spots along the river channel in about 12 foot and that is when you can catch a bunch in a short bit of time. Don’t let the heat stop you from getting in on some of this great offshore fishing on Lake Eufaula.
